Okay so we were browsing the internet and found an interesting article about how us dogs save the humans money. Here the humans are worrying about money like crazy and yet they aren't even realizing that us dogs are actually doing them a favor and saving them money.
Yes it costs money to own a dog. Everyone should know that by now, I mean we need food, vet bills, toys and treats. Think of us dogs as an investment you have to put money into us in order to make money with us. Now that we explained that to all of you humans out there, let me tell you that since we save you money you should be kind enough to invest some of that back into us. Seriously how hard is it to buy a couple extra treats here or there? It's not hard so please feel free to splurge a little more. Then again in our Mom's case she splurges a lot so I guess we can't complain. I mean I, Missy do have a new collar being made so I can't complain and Monty gets new sweaters and jackets all the time. Granted he doesn't always appreciate them but, still it's the thought that counts. Plus we always get new treats. Just a couple of days ago Mom bought us some dog friendly white chocolate dipped milkbones and they are to die for but, that isn't the point.
The article also stated that us dogs will prolong you humans lives. Which is a good thing if you ask us, I mean the longer you live the happier you are right? Us dogs can also keep you humans in shape if you actually follow through with that walking routine you keep promising us. (That's right Mom we are talking to you. More walks = less weight so chop chop.) We aren't saying we are miracle workers but, we are making baby steps to save you humans in the long run. I guess what it comes down it is this: Quit playing the Mega Million Lottery and start walking and petting us more. That dollar you spent for a ticket could have been saved if you would have walked us and played catch me if you can more often.

P.S. We heard there are benefits to owning cats too but, just not as many.

Top Dogs
Okay so Yahoo decided to do some research and tell the world the top dogs across the state. The fact that they can do that is pretty cool. The results aren't that shocking in our opinion because, well let's face AKC pretty much can give you a list of the most popular dogs for like the past ten years. Spoiler Alert!! Labrador Retrievers are number one most of the time! I know it shocked us too, no offense to you loving labs out there but, seriously you can share the lime light every once in awhile. Seriously labs 42 states is a little much.
It should be no shock to anyone that Alaska's number one dogs were the Alaskan Malmutes/Siberian Huskies. Alaskan Malmutes are a duh, Alaska is in their name and all. We were saddened to hear that our other Northern Breeds weren't high up on their list. Sorry to all the Samoyeds, Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards and Newfoundlands out there, maybe next year you guys will get your chance to shine. That is if the labs are willing to share the lime light for once. We're watching you labs all of you.
It shouldn't come as a surprise that other popular breeds made the list: German Shepherds, Border Collies, Bulldogs, Golden Retrievers American Pit Bulls and Chihuahuas. All of the dogs have had a famous dog in the acting business as a lead character which of course makes them more important in the humans eyes. I mean Rin Tin Tin, Marley, Shadow and Chance. Oh and let's not forget Air Bud and all his little "buddies" seriously there are that many movies now. We are glad to see the American Pit Bulls on the list because, let's face it they get a bad rap when they don't deserve it. We love Pit Bulls here, they are our best friends.
Breeds that we are kinda shocked that we didn't see mentioned are: Parson Jack Russel Terriers, Carin Terriers, Maltese, Shih Tzus and Poodles. They are dogs that have made it big on the big screen and people know them. Yet they aren't on listed or at least not with a name drop.
We weren't surprised to see the hybrid/crosses like the Goldendoodle and Labradoodle. They are becoming family favorites and well known.
Maybe next time the Chinese Shar Pei, Great Pyrenees and other I guess we will call them rarer breeds will make the list making them less rare and a family favorite.

Dream Theory
Okay so there is an article about how dreams have beneficial effects on us pets. Now we're not saying they are wrong but, we disagree about the good doctor's theory of us re-living our day in our dreams.
Now you guys are probably wondering first of all how and why we can disagree with this. Let us explain it to you. I (Monty) dream a lot and in my dreams I bark a lot and I don't bark when I am awake so it isn't possible for me to be re-living my day in my dreams. Furthermore I sleep most of the day so I don't think I am dreaming of sleeping but, that would be kinda cool. Not as cool as dreaming while I dream but, that movie has already been done. BOL!
Also after an awesome day like today I would like to re-live it in my dreams. We will have to wait and see. M&M signing out and heading back to dream land.

Richest Pets in the World
Okay so seriously, we feel rich because, our parents love us dearly and spoil us rotten. These pets however are actually rich thanks to their parents being rich and leaving all their money to their pets when they die. When our parents die we get their money too but, it isn't anything like these guys are getting or have in some of their cases.
What we want to know is who is in charge of their funds? How do their owners know the person they are leaving in charge of their pets fiances is actually looking out for the pets best interest? We love humans and all but, reality is not all humans are kind and giving some are quite selfish. I hope they screened the people they left in charge of their pet and their pets fiances.
